Chicago Childrens Advocacy Center
1240 South Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60608Chicago Children's Advocacy Center is a nonprofit on South Damen Avenue that brings child protection, law enforcement and healing services together in one building for children affected by sexual abuse. Its multidisciplinary team provides forensic interviews, case coordination, family advocacy and child life support. The mental health team, along with partner therapists, sees children weekly using talk, art or play, adapting to how each child is responding to trauma, while caregivers meet regularly with the therapist. Therapy can take place onsite, at the center's Family Hope Center, or by telehealth. The organization also runs human trafficking intervention, family support services, and community education and prevention programs.
