Harris Family & Child Clinic is a no-cost training clinic of The Family Institute at Northwestern University, with sessions held in Chicago as well as Evanston and Northbrook. Graduate student therapists-in-training see clients under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. The clinic works with individuals, couples, families and children on concerns such as anxiety and panic, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, life transitions and relationship or family conflict. Sessions are available in person or by secure video, and services are offered in Spanish and Mandarin. Eligibility is set through a clinical screening, and the clinic notes it may not suit people with recent substance use, psychosis or severe suicidality.
